بِسْمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيْمِ

With the new school year starting for Darul Quran this sunday, we understand that getting ready for a new school year can be an exciting time for both students and families. To help make the transition a little smoother, we’ve put together some helpful information to help you prepare, feel confident, and know what to expect on the first day. Here are a few important things to keep in mind as you and your student get ready for the year ahead.

The School Year Calendar

Please take a moment to review it carefully and keep track of all the important dates throughout the year. We encourage families to save the calendar and refer back to it regularly.

The Class Schedule

An example of what the class schedule will look like. Please keep in mind that the schedule is subject to change throughout the year, particularly as prayer times change. Any updates or adjustments to the schedule will be communicated accordingly.

For safety reasons, please use the men’s entrance when dropping off and picking up your children. We also kindly ask that parents park in the parking lot during drop-off rather than stopping in front of the entrance.

Each student will have a QR code lanyard to mark their attendance. Please ensure they bring it every day and scan in and out at the door when dropped off and picked up.

Drop Off

Classes begin at 10:00 AM, with morning assembly starting at 9:50 AM. Please drop children off before 9:50 AM so they have time to settle in and participate.

The assembly includes Qur’an recitation, nasheeds, Du’a, and important daily updates. Parents are welcome to stay and join us!

Please ensure students arrive on time so they don’t miss this important part of the morning.

Pick Up

School ends promptly at 2:00 PM. We kindly ask parents to avoid picking up their children early, as early dismissal means they will miss valuable class time. Please arrange for early pickup only when it is necessary or for an important reason.

Please familiarize yourself with Google Classroom, as this will be the primary form of communication between teachers and students throughout the school year. It is important that students and families check Google Classroom regularly, as this is where you will find assignments, quiz reviews, important announcements, reminders, and other updates from teachers. Staying up to date with Google Classroom will help students stay organized, informed, and prepared throughout the school year.

If you haven’t already,  join the Darul Quran WhatsApp Community, as this will be the primary source of communication between parents and the administration. We encourage all parents to join so they can stay up to date with important announcements, reminders, and updates.

Please ensure students bring their assigned books and required materials each week. Review the daily materials list with them so they’re prepared, organized, and ready for class.

Level Fatima, Level Ali, and Level Mohammad will receive their Tajweed, Quran Reflection, and Diniyat books. Level Zainab will receive their Tajweed, Diniyat, and Arabic books.

Please ensure your child brings the following to class everyday:

  • Textbooks for all 3 classes
  • Backpack
  • Pencils or pens
  • Notebooks
  • Eraser
  • Pencil sharpener

Jazakallah for being a part of the Darul Quran community. We’re grateful to have you and your children with us and look forward to a wonderful year of learning, growth, and community together. Insha’Allah, may Allah bless our students, guide them on His path, and make this a joyful and meaningful year for all.
